  • You will develop and/or use algorithms and statistical predictive models, as well as determine analytical approaches and modeling techniques, as a Senior Data Scientist at CVS Health.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems using advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses, as well as a broad understanding of the organization and/or industry.
  • Develop predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports, and performance metrics in collaboration with business partners to understand their problems and goals.
  • Create and participate in presentations and consultations on analytics results and solutions for existing and prospective constituents. Interact with peers and managers both internally and externally to exchange complex information about areas of specialization.
  • Investigate problems, detect patterns, and recommend solutions using strong knowledge of algorithms and predictive models.
  • Strong programming skills are required to explore, examine, and interpret large amounts of data in various forms.

Preference is for this employee to work in current CVS Analytics hybrid work model being onsite 3 days, every other week (subject to change) in one of our Analytics Hubs (Chicago, IL OR Wellesley (Boston), MA), however work from home available for the right candidate.

Pay Scale

The typical salary range for this position is: a minimum of 90,000; 180,000 is the maximum allowed.

Please keep in mind that this range represents the average pay for all positions in the job grade in which this position is located. The actual salary offer will consider a variety of factors, including location.

Requirements:

Qualifications Required

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist Python programming experience SQL query writing
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (Preferably GCP but open to Azure or AWS)

Qualifications Preferred

  • Data engineering experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of equity data. Understanding and interest in socioeconomic and structural disparities such as income, education, location, race/ethnicity, gender identity, disability, and so on.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare data
  • Ability to synthesize information from disparate data sources, as well as evaluate data source suitability for specific use cases.
  • Capable of applying solid statistical knowledge in the areas of linear and nonlinear dimensionality reduction, data analysis of latent constructs, structural equation models, and partial least square regression.
  • Experience with cloud computing and distributed computing would be highly desirable.
  • Teradata and Hadoop experience.
  • Experience leading analysis and initiatives that have had a positive impact on the business.
  • Capability to explain technical concepts and implications to business partners.

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics,
  • Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A master’s degree or a PhD is preferred.
