Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the entire lifespan of extensive research projects spanning several business domains that influence executives inside our establishment (i.e., formulating plans, compiling specifications, overseeing, and carrying out).
• Acting as a subject matter expert on numerous subjects pertaining to measurement, analysis, and study design
• Working with a cross-functional team that has experience in social science, machine learning, econometrics, psychometrics, natural language processing, forecasting, optimization, business intelligence, analytics, and policy evaluation;
• Determining research initiatives that provide bottom-line ROI and gradual improvements over time;
• Capacity to clean and query intricate datasets from many sources in order to prepare them for sophisticated statistical analysis
• Creating excellent, fact-based materials that support business executives and win support; imparting information; supporting creative solutions; and coaching others

Requirements:

PRIMARY QUALIFCATIONS

• At least a year of experience in statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, etc.), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or data querying languages (e.g., SQL) experience
• Two or more years of experience working as a data/research scientist, statistician, or quantitative analyst in an online business with complicated and large data sources

DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with business intelligence and statistical software, such as SAS, SPSS, S-PLUS, or R
• Familiarity with Map-reduce, Hadoop, Spark, and Hive clustered data processing
