Responsibilities:

• Getting a patient’s medical history, vital signs, test results, and other information for medical records and writing it down while keeping the information secret.
• Coordinate the daily administrative tasks, such as scheduling, checking patients in and out, and keeping their medical records up to date.
• Getting treatment rooms ready for clinical exams and helping doctors with procedures and other patient care.
• Giving patients and their families care, support, and help with compassion.
• Making sure that all health care rules, like HIPAA and OSHA, are followed.
• Getting medications ready and giving them to patients as directed by doctors.
