Position Description:

This position is part of the Technical Operations Division’s Workforce Administration Team.
Responsible for leading the Workforce Administration teams that are in charge of shift bids, vacation, overtime, grievances, training compliance and tracking, duty time limits, change of shift, uniform, license stamps, parking and security SIDA badge administration, attendance control, payroll processing, leaves of absence, and special projects as needed for Tech Ops represented employees.

What you intend to do

  • Leads workforce administration teams, which are in charge of delivering time and attendance, production support, and other administrative activities to all Tech Ops represented workgroups.
  • Ensures contractual agreement(s), corporate rules, federal and governmental requirements, and shift bidding, vacation, overtime, training compliance and tracking, duty time restrictions, grievance processes, lost time administration, and state leave administration are followed.
  • Oversees the administration of represented team member movement, which includes new hires, internal transfers, retirements, terminations, resignations, RIF and recalls, and return to work scenarios, all in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement(s) and time limitations.
  • Works with Labor Relations, Legal, station partners, and executive leadership to collaborate and communicate.
  • Manages and develops workforce administration team members, including advice on daily activity priority.
  • Prepares and evaluates various reports on departmental activity.
  • Develops methods for managing and delivering personnel data to improve the division’s resource management capability.
  • Interacts with the aforementioned groups and selected union representatives to resolve workforce issues as needed.
  • Evaluates current processes and practices for meeting department objectives in order to create and implement better procedures and practices to ensure efficiency.

Everything you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience/training in a relevant field
  • 5 years of demonstrated leadership/management experience or related experience
  • Process improvement experience in maintenance and/or production situations
  • Experience in maintenance positions involving budget awareness, resource forecasting and management, and workload planning
