Customer Service Representatives are the face of Aetna and affect how members feel about their service by how they handle questions and problems that come in by phone, email, or letter. Customer questions can be simple or very complicated. Engages, consults with, and educates members based on each member’s unique needs, preferences, and understanding of Aetna plans, tools, and resources to help members find a clear path to care. Answers questions and solves problems that members, providers, and other departments call or write about. assigns any extra work that comes up to the right people. Keeps a record of the members, providers, and plan sponsors who have been in touch with them.

Responsibilities:

• The CSR helps the member understand their plan of benefits, Aetna’s policies and procedures, and the resources they need to follow any rules set by the government.
• Creates an emotional connection with our members by understanding and engaging the member to the fullest to champion for our members’ best health.
• Taking responsibility for fully understanding the member’s needs by building a relationship of trust and care with the member. tries to guess what customers want.
• Provides the customer with related information to answer the unasked questions, e.g. additional plan details, benefit plan details, member self-service tools, etc.
• Describes the member’s rights and duties based on the contract.

Pay Range

Average pay for this job is between $17.00 and $27.90 per hour.

Please keep in mind that this range is the pay range for all jobs in the same job grade as this position. The actual salary offer will depend on a lot of things, like where the job is.

Requirements:

Customer Service experiences in a transaction based environment such as a call center or retail location preferred, demonstrating ability to be empathetic and compassionate. Experience in a production environment.
