Position Description:
As the primary point of contact and “voice of the company” for Transamerica customers, this position is responsible for providing accurate and comprehensive information regarding retirement (401K, IRA, 403(b)) products to callers. Work as a member of a team authorized to go above and beyond to provide an exceptional client experience.
Responsibilities
- Answer calls regarding retirement products such as 401(k), IRA, and 403(b) investments using great customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Identify customer needs and deliver tailored assistance to ensure good and significant outcomes; involve more knowledgeable team members as required.
- Using multiple systems/technologies, locate/research information.
- Coordination with cross-functional departments to gather and/or supply information required to resolve challenges.
- Document customer enquiries and associated actions; promptly follow up on outstanding issues.
- Learn and retain fundamental knowledge of products, techniques, and systems
- Meet departmental metrics and requirements
- Participate in a team atmosphere to accomplish department objectives
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or comparable work experience in a business-related subject
- One year of experience in a call center or customer service, or in the financial services business
- Ability to communicate professionally with customers orally and in writing. Capability to operate individually and as a member of a team.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications

- Knowledge of retirement plans including 401k, IRA, and 403(b) Capability to navigate many screens and systems
- Previous home-based employment experience
- Prior financial sector experience
- Salesforce experience
- Product marketing expertise
