Our Phoenix Reservations Center, which is located at 8140 South Hardy Drive in Tempe, Arizona, 85284 is the location of this full-time, office job. You will collaborate with team members in various offices across the world as a part of our Global Reservations operation to provide customers with superior sales and service.
Successful reservations representatives interact with clients and address their travel-related issues in order to show that they care about people on their life’s journey.
Responsibilities:
- Master several weeks of frantic, intensive training on tools, processes, policies, and goods; and continue your education with yearly refresher courses.
- Respond to consumer inquiries and win their trust by addressing their travel-related needs.
- Pay attention to the demands of the clients and aggressively present options
- Make money by selling tickets and associated goods and services.
- Provide excellent client service
- Full-time employment at a workstation
- Ability to perform a 24-hour shift, which may include weekends, holidays, and various day, evening, and night hours throughout the year, as determined by seniority bidding.
- Be granted voluntary extra occasionally, but also compelled to work mandatory overtime

Requirements:
Suitable Candidates:
- Possess a minimum age of 18
- Will possess a GED or high school diploma. Equivalency
- Possesses the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
- Will be able to perform tasks while remaining seated at a workstation for an extended period of time. Will be able to work as scheduled and in accordance with American Airlines’ attendance policy. Will pay close attention to detail and handle multiple tasks accurately while delivering excellent customer service.
- Possess the self-discipline and accountability necessary to carry out job duties with little guidance
- are resourceful, adept at solving problems, and capable of handling challenging or stressful situations
The most challenging candidates:
- Are comfortable navigating through several programs while on a call and leveraging technology
- Possess prior experience working in a contact center environment providing reservations and/or customer service
- Thrive on achieving objectives and constant growth
- Possess a love for traveling and the curiosity, expertise, and experience to work as a trusted advisor for clients
The CWA-IBT Collective Bargaining Agreement governs the terms and conditions of this position.
