Illumix, an AR technology and media company, is seeking a QA Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards for their augmented reality (AR) products. You will develop testing strategies, perform manual and automated testing, identify defects, and collaborate with teams to troubleshoot issues. Your technical background will be crucial in understanding AR and Platform technologies, as you’ll be testing SDKs, APIs, platform dashboards, and related components. Automation will be a key tool in improving testing efficiency. The dynamic environment will require multitasking while delivering top-quality results.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop test plans, strategies, test cases, and automation for SDKs and platform services, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing of AR and platform software, including feature, integration, regression, and performance testing.
  • Verify compatibility across different devices and operating systems for a seamless user experience.
  • Identify, document, and prioritize software defects, reporting them to the development team.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using relevant frameworks and tools.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new changes and updates don’t introduce issues.
  • Evaluate performance and scalability of AR and platform components.
  • Maintain test documentation, including plans, cases, scripts, and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on SDK and platform services.
  • Assist in the release process by verifying software quality and aiding in deployment coordination.
  • Coordinate with external QA resources.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of QA or Test Engineer experience.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent work experience with a deep understanding of AR technology and SaaS products.
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing on web and mobile (Android/iOS).
  • Fluency in scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Appium, Selenium, Calabash, etc.
  • Expertise in Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.

Pluses (Desired Skills):

  • Experience with SaaS products.
  • Unity games or applications experience.
  • Mobile development and UX expertise.
  • Passion for Augmented Reality (ARKit/ARCore).
  • Agile/Scrum training and experience.
