Responsibilities:

By comprehending the objectives of QA’s database testing and making contributions to deliverables, this person will serve as a QA SQL Engineer and provide testing support for the 340B apps (Web, Windows, and Database). Determining testing methods, carrying out test planning, and carrying out unit, system, integration, and regression tests of backend applications, ETL/Data Integration, and Datawarehouse solutions are daily tasks for the position. This individual will be in charge of putting stated QA methods into practice for projects of all sizes in order to plan, create, implement, execute, assess, and report the results of software testing and to prevent the release of defects (e.g., requirements review). Additionally, in order to carry out prescribed QA procedures successfully and effectively, it is required to acquire, maintain, and document domain knowledge of (application) system. In this position, you will be responsible for high-complexity, high-risk, and high-visibility projects; you will manage several projects of varying complexity at once; you will give project leads and technical leads input on and suggestions for improving QA procedures. You will collaborate with the QA team, project managers, business analysts, and application developers to quickly identify the key business processes and technological foundations so that you can design and implement system functionality tests that exercise all crucial inter-system integration points.
You might also be expected to help the project leads with activities like setting up and maintaining the test environment and regression test bed, being flexible when testing with few or no requirements, and carrying out non-management QA and testing tasks all throughout the SDLC (i.e., from pre-project initiation through post-project review and monitoring).

Pay Scale

The usual pay scale for this position is as follows:

• Least: 70,000
• The most: 140,000

Please remember that this range represents the salary range for every position in the job grade that this position belongs to. The location is just one of several variables that will be considered when determining the actual compensation offer.

Requirements:

Required credentials

• Three or more years of expertise carrying out all stages of the software development lifecycle, QA procedures, and measurements
• 3+ years of expertise using test management tools, a testing database, and EDI/ETL.
• 3+ years of experience with advanced SQL querying (with a solid grasp of stored procedures) utilizing SSMS
• 3 years or more of experience working with SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Agent jobs

Preferred Requirements

• 5 years or more of expertise using SQL.
• Understanding of SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Agent jobs, as well as expertise with Azure and/or Redgate tool.
• Solid familiarity with stored procedures
• Experience with Querysurge EDI/ETL and DW testing is strongly preferred.
• A BA in a relevant discipline is preferred.

Education: A bachelor’s degree or experience equivalent is desired.
