The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.
As a Senior Principal Software Engineeron the PowerFlex Software Defined Storage Development Team, you will work on our next generation management and orchestration software. Designing and developing cloud native micro services to run on a Kubernetes platform.
Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in the preparation, review and evaluation of software requirements and specifications
- Lead role in designing and coding micro services per specification
- Collaborate across the team on APIs and service integration
- Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes
- Lead a scrum team throughout the complete software development lifecycle

Requirements:
- BS in computer science or related degree. 13+ years of software development experience
- Strong Java skills; Spring Boot; Kubernetes; Micro Services
- Experience with operating systems; virtualization; firmware; databases; tools and utilities as applicable
- Experience leading design and defining software architectures
- REST APIs and message brokers such as ActiveMQ
Desirable Requirements
- Go, Ruby, Python, Ansible, HTML, JavaScript, Angular
- MS Computer Science or any related degree
