Hotel Engine is eager to expand our engineering team with a Senior Software Engineer, Node.js! Making architectural decisions, creating and maintaining a set of internal tools and processes, coaching and guiding mid- and junior-level engineers, and creating integrations with other parties are all part of this position. We use the following technology:
- Node.js\sTypescript\sLambda
- Jest, Dynamo DB, PSQL, and Serverless Framework
- Every day, we push new code to our continuous integration, production, and staging environments.
- Agile and Kanban are both used in our workflow.
- To maximize development time, we hold meetings as infrequently as possible.
- We adhere to a 40-hour workweek and value your time away from the office.
What we’re searching for is as follows:
- The ideal applicant for this role is passionate about JavaScript and desires to work exclusively on back-end Node development, with the option of contributing to front-end projects as needed. Additionally necessary are a history of leading successful projects and a desire to mentor more junior developers. 5+ years of experience in JavaScript/Typescript software development
- Five or more years of Node.js expertise
- Experience creating and maintaining production APIs for at least five years
- 3+ years’ experience using AWS
- knowledge of micro-service architecture
- having some front-end expertise with a well-known framework (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
