Position Description:

The Publisher Rules engineering team is creating tools that will enable our publishers to specify, enforce, and convey advertising limitations on their inventory to potential advertisers. Software developers who can work well with others to develop solutions for our publishers are what we’re searching for.

This group’s priorities are:

  • developing internationally accessible user interfaces and APIs that our publisher partners may utilize to specify limitations on their ad inventory and products.
    In close collaboration with the publisher ad serving teams at Amazon, low-latency solutions were developed to assess and implement these limits during real-time ad bid flow. Publisher SDEs were also supported in their integration with our rules APIs.

Essential job duties

  • Creates and independently deploys essential features that address complex software issues for our publishers, potentially including several components of the Amazon advertising ecosystem.
  • Conducts extensive unit and integration testing and supports the deployment and use of goods by our stakeholders.
    Has a direct impact on the software quality and user experience by influencing the team’s technical direction and upholding a high standard. Collaborates with peers and mentors to get advice and serves as a mentor as needed.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of non-internship experience in professional software development – 2+ years of expertise in non-internship system design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
  • Programming experience in at least one software language

FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three or more years of experience with the entire software development life cycle, including coding guidelines, code reviews, source control management, build procedures, testing, and operations
  • Computer science bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
  • Contributing experience to new and existing systems’ architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, dependability, and scaling).
  • Have experience designing features and solutions leveraging cloud-based infrastructure, particularly Amazon. – Have experience programming in at least one modern language, such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
  • Proven track record of developing highly scalable solutions resembling programmatic advertising technology
  • Any experience with the business and/or technology of programmatic advertising
