GoDaddy is seeking a Senior Security Engineer with practical technical experience, great leadership qualities, and a drive to provide solutions for complex issues. It is imperative that you possess the ability to effectively communicate with team members, carry out security evaluations, rank security threats, and create and distribute superior outputs.
Responsibilities:
- Determine which apps and infrastructure pose security risks, then mentor system owners through remediation
- Work together with the SRE and development teams to identify fresh, innovative approaches to lowering the frequency of vulnerabilities at scale.
- Create reusable and repeatable security frameworks and procedures.
- Examine quality concerns and try to find both overt and covert security vulnerabilities.
- Help prioritize potential projects and take part in them from the beginning to the conclusion, from ownership to definition of done
- Utilize your expertise to take charge of and oversee the retesting and resolution of technical security concerns, policy inquiries, and security events.
Requirements:
- Having worked in several security areas such as Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network Security, Cloud Security, Mobile Security, and Web Security, I have over ten years of dynamic security engineering experience.
- Excellent communicator with a strong technical grasp of security engineering standard procedures, this problem-solver
- knowledge of the Secure Development Lifecycle and the Shift Left approach using Security by Design
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell; familiarity with conventional security engineering approaches that conform to privacy and security regulations

- A PhD or master’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline
- hosting sector and/or expertise with clouds
- knowledge of hardware security
