Enterprise Technology Digital Experience teams are responsible for delivering world-class workplace productivity, office automation, and user-facing systems such as desktop and mobility endpoint services, messaging and collaboration services, including remote access and managed print services, globally. Teams for Digital Experience can be found in Seattle, Glendale, New York, and Orlando. This role at The Walt Disney Company focuses on technology leadership and management of the build and integration functions of enterprise-wide workplace productivity services.

As a key contributor on the Digital Experience (DX) Engineering team, I am responsible for the evaluation, engineering, integration, and maintenance of Digital Experience (end-user facing) solutions across the enterprise. Coordinates and leads the deliverables for Workplace Services projects and services’ technical design, integration, and implementation. This position is expected to provide technical leadership and is in charge of designing, building, configuring, and documenting new and upgraded Digital Experience global voice and video solutions across the enterprise.

Defines and maintains all aspects of the engineering process, including the technical evaluation of services and products, lab testing, and service solution design. Collaborates closely with the DX Engineering leader to ensure alignment with Enterprise Technology strategies. This role was concerned with the design and integration of LDAP services. Potential candidates must have a security-first mindset, as well as experience with tokenized authentication protocols, resolving authentication and authorization vulnerability management issues, and working knowledge of AD-integrated PKI/CA environments.

Oversees and coordinates project timelines for solution engineering activities and Disney resources to ensure requirements are understood, dependencies are defined, evaluation processes are developed in accordance with business requirements, and the engineered solution is documented and refined for future offering development. This includes working closely with other teams responsible for supporting a service, particularly supplier teams. Ensures customer satisfaction with engineered services.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and implement solutions to improve the efficacy and efficiency of solution architecture and engineering services in order to improve support capabilities, documentation, and reporting.
  • Provides solution engineering analysis and design for DX products and services. This includes the following:
  • Communicating with leadership, tracking projects, and providing status reports / dashboards.
  • Through detailed technical analysis, evaluates the capabilities of services and products and designs solutions to deliver future service offerings.
  • Engineered designs, including full documentation, are defined.
  • Follows structured methodologies for technical product and solution analysis.
  • Develops close working relationships with vendor and supplier partners
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of emerging technologies and trends
  • Develops service roadmaps in collaboration with DX architects and service managers.

Service Administration

  • Regularly meets with Enterprise Technology DX Service Line Management and the DX Architecture team to develop a project roadmap for assigned solution / engineering designs.
  • Oversees the definition and updating of functional requirements, as well as their inclusion in engineering analysis.
  • Key contributor to the definition and documentation of engineering processes and procedures based on DX architectural frameworks.
  • Creates and updates a capacity and performance forecast.

Project Management and Coordination

  • Oversees projects and ensures that a consistent methodology is used to meet budget, scope, and schedule objectives.
  • Maintains overall project coordination, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Disney project resources and assignments are coordinated.
  • Project change management approvals are overseen.
  • Project cost estimates and status reports are reviewed and validated.
  • Examines Disney Project Authorization Requests (PAR) to determine the technical impact of services.

Requirements:

Experience and credentials

  • 10 years of progressive experience in an IT-related field is required.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and integrating enterprise-level hybrid LDAP solutions with at least 40,000 users, including:
  • The Active Directory
  • Active Directory in Azure
  • Identity Manager by Microsoft
  • AADC / Active Directory Federation Services
  • Key service integrations with various LDAP providers.
  • 5+ years of engineering, designing, and integrating infrastructure components (domain controllers, sites and services, connectivity, etc.) as well as logical aspects (GPO management, directory structure, and management toolsets)
  • 3+ years of project management experience in large IT initiatives
  • 3+ years of experience in an outsourced environment working with and directing suppliers

Certification and education

  • BS or BA degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated work experience
  • Collaboration Certification from Cisco (CCNP or CCIE)
  • Core/Technician Crestron Track
  • MCA/MCE Certification from Microsoft

In California, the salary range for this position is $136,038 to $182,490 per year, while in Washington, the salary range is $142,516 to $191,180 per year. The actual base pay will take internal equity into account and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. Depending on the level and position offered, a bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be included in the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
