A crucial component of the Medicare organization, the Medicare Business Intelligence COE is in charge of delivering business intelligence and analytical insights into important decision-making processes and concentrating on challenging initiatives with quantifiable performance impact. In a cutting-edge setting, we leverage big data to produce meaningful insights using sophisticated analytical tools, modeling, and machine learning. In areas like Medicare Stars, service operations, patient safety, population health management, and member experience, we are concentrated on creating new opportunities that spur change. In order to improve member health and maximize the member experience, this position will be responsible for defining and growing analytical skills under the direction of the Director of Medicare Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities:
- Use your experience in strategy consulting, analytics, and data science to successfully lead a number of challenging initiatives and create cutting-edge solutions that promote corporate performance and expansion.
- Create and/or use statistical predictive models, algorithms, and modeling tools to assess situations and likely outcomes in the future.
- Use sophisticated statistical methods, mathematical analyses, and in-depth understanding of the company and/or industry to perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to resolve many and/or complicated business problems.
- Work together with business partners to build predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reporting, and performance indicators, as well as to understand their issues and objectives.
- Create presentations and consultations on analytics results and solutions for current and potential constituents, and take part in them.
- Engage with managers and peers both inside and externally to communicate sophisticated knowledge on specialized topics.
- Investigate issues, find patterns, and suggest fixes using a solid understanding of algorithms and predictive models.
- Exploring, examining, and interpreting huge amounts of data in various forms requires the use of excellent programming skills.
Pay Scale
The usual pay scale for this position is as follows:
- At least 90,000
- The most: 180,000
Please remember that this range represents the salary range for every position in the job grade that this position belongs to. The location is just one of several variables that will be considered when determining the actual compensation offer.
Requirements:
Required credentials
- 5 or more years of related experience that has gotten progressively more sophisticated.
- Has a good capacity for explaining technical issues to commercial partners.
- SQL, Python, and/or R programming experience is a need.
- Sees issues and obstacles coming and takes action to avoid them.
- A solid understanding of complex analytics languages and tools for analyzing huge data sets from numerous sources.
- Shows extensive specialization in some areas and competency in the majority of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
Recommended Requirements
- Work experience in the healthcare sector or with healthcare data – Support experience with duals and DSNP populations
- Master’s or Doctorate desirable; experience designing health plan products.
- Experience with Tableau and/or PowerBi for data visualization.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, business analytics, economics, physics, engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience in place of a degree.
