As an Account Manager for Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting chance to influence the development and future direction of a cutting-edge technology.
You will have a wide range of duties, such as managing and expanding the US Military Health System’s customer base (MHS). By assisting in the definition, identification, and pursuit of important opportunities, you will quickly develop business and technical relationships and acquire customers. In order to do this, the Public Sector Sales, Legal, Marketing, Product, Contracts, and Executive leadership must work together to identify the best go-to-market strategies.
Through your familiarity with the objectives and surroundings of the customer, you will forge strong professional and technical ties. Daily interactions between you and these organizations and our ecosystem of partners (SIs and ISVs) who support these clients will occur. A business background that enables them to lead an engagement at the CXO level is a requirement for the ideal candidate. You should also be able to create and communicate compelling value propositions, as well as have a track record of thinking strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Increase sales and market share in a specific area
- Assist the AWS Public Sector team in promoting the use of the company’s overall technical and market strategy.
- Keep a reliable and accurate forecast of your business opportunities.
- In accordance with the strategic direction of AWS, create a strategic sales plan for your target markets.
- Recognize the technical requirements and credentials unique to the public sector.
- Choose select partners, distributors, and prospects to contact while explaining the unique value proposition for their industry and use case.
- Engage prospects, partners, and important clients to develop and manage the sales pipeline.
- Make sure the customer base has the necessary technical resources and works closely with them to ensure their success using our web services.
- Recognize the technical specifications of your clients and collaborate closely with the internal development team to direct the development of our product offerings.
- Prepare and present business reviews to the senior management team that outline quarterly and yearly strategies that will support anticipated increases in revenue.
- Organize difficult contract negotiations and communicate with the legal team.
- Increase consumer adoption and satisfaction rates.

Requirements:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, program management, and/or product development with a focus on Federal Government clients.
- 8+ years of sales experience selling managed hosting services, cloud computing services, enterprise software, hardware, and networking infrastructure.
- Degree of BA/BS required
- Working knowledge of business accounts
FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical foundation in web app development, networking, big data analytics, and software applications.
- MBA preferred with a technical degree in engineering or computer science
- Wide-ranging customer base
- History of surpassing quota

Our pay is in line with the cost of labor in different US regions. In our lowest geographic area, the basic salary for this position is $114,300 per year, whereas in our top geographic market, it is $212,600 per year. Compensation is based on a number of variables, including market location, and may change in accordance with knowledge, abilities, and experience pertinent to the position.
