Position Description:
Applicants for this post must have a deep grasp of healthcare services, software, and solutions, as well as expertise selling SaaS into hospital and clinical settings. The primary responsibility of this position will be to secure business for Carta Healthcare within clinical and academic institutions. This person will also be involved in the continued development and implementation of Carta Healthcare’s Go-to-Market strategy in the US market. This job will report directly to our VP of sales and will be in charge of regional territories throughout the continental United States.
Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, and drive business through the sales funnel using email and cold calling.
- Increase your prospective new business pipeline by selling additional services to existing clients and potential new hospital facilities.
- Create and implement market plans and campaigns to create revenue for Carta Healthcare.
- Prepare sales estimates and related reports for target accounts (direct and indirect).
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Carta and the client; cultivate and strengthen business relationships by delivering excellent service and encourage engagement with accounts at all organizational levels; create and maintain account profiles.
- Meet with customers on a regular basis to share information about the features and benefits of Carta healthcare’s products and to displace competitors.
- Perform early outreach to help with funnel growth and acceleration (connections + cold outreach).
- As feedback comes in, work with the customer success and implementation teams to demonstrate Carta’s commitment.
- Use internal resources to meet sales targets.
- Attend sales conferences to promote Carta Healthcare’s goods and services.
- Attend public speeches and panel discussions to represent Carta Healthcare.
- Launch Carta Healthcare goods and create a pipeline of new activities both inside and outside of the customer base.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
You will require the following items:
- 10 years or more of similar experience in the healthcare/IT/software industry, as well as healthcare data
- Capability to manage sophisticated consultative sales requiring interactions with CIOs, head physicians, quality directors, and C-suite executives.
- A contact network and ties with enterprise healthcare systems or hospitals
- Ability to collaborate with team members to drive effective business closing is required.
- Ability to compile market input from prospect/customer interactions in order to collaborate with Sales leadership to discover areas of opportunity (messaging resonance tweaks, objection handling, product roadmap prioritization, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presenting skills
- Excellent problem-solving and problem-identification abilities
- Sales overachievement must be demonstrated.
- CRM is used to track and manage documentation and activity.
- A strong technical aptitude is required.
- Experience with healthcare start-ups is advantageous.
