Position Description:

As a Sales Engineer at Samsara, you would be a member of a broad team of technically savvy individuals collaborating to offer our distinctive linked operations technology to customers. Our daily interactions with customers include discussions about logistics/supply chain management, fleet maintenance strategies, global asset management, machine control systems/diagnostics, system integration, and regulatory compliance. This signifies that a successful SE at Samsara will develop a comprehensive understanding of IoT hardware and sensors, hands-on installation/deployment scenarios, carrier networks, cloud infrastructure, and third-party system integrations (via our open API) in order to present our customers with the correct technical solution.

Responsibilities:

• You will collaborate with sales executives to plan, arrange, and execute transactions in rapid sales cycles in this capacity.
• Effectively align customer pain and requirements with potential solutions
• Employ several tiers of the technology stack.
• Install, configure, and certify Samsara hardware
• Set up the SaaS dashboard and demonstrate its advanced use
• Present the Samsara mobile application and focus on mobile device management strategies.
• Customize your reporting and integrations with our API (Python and Javascript SDKs available)
• Champion, model, and instill Samsara’s cultural tenets (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across additional offices.

Minimum qualifications for the position:

• Preferred 1+ years of experience working in a pre-sales or support capacity with customers
• Prior practical experience with customer evaluations and deployments is required.
• Proven success in selling intricate solutions
• Familiar with one of the following: software in the cloud, networking, automation, and control systems
• The ability to tinker with physical devices, sensors, or automobiles is a bonus.
