As Project Manager and Senior Advisor, the role has dual responsibilities. The responsibility of Project Management is to ensure that assigned project work is completed within the agreed-upon timelines, scopes, quality, and budget. The Senior Advisor is responsible for working with key partners to ensure the successful growth and management of Cigna+Oscar Small Group products in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Capability in Project Management:
  • Create and manage a Project Management Plan (including scopes, timeline, resources, costs, risk and issues, interdependencies, assumptions etc.)
  • Create and manage plans for project communication, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify and develop solutions to issues, risks, dependencies, and change requests, among other things, that require escalation to Sponsor/Management decision.
  • Manage the project governance structure, such as steering committees, project teams, escalation points, and so on.
  • Determine and agree on end-to-end responsibilities for coordinating various work streams in order to achieve specified outcomes.
  • Develop and coach project team members in order for them to meet deliverables in accordance with enterprise governance methodology.
  • Manage the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements. Connect business users and IT teams to ensure that requirements address business needs and that technical solutions and/or processes are validated.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure that effective solutions are delivered.
  • Collaborate closely with business users and the IT team to drive the user testing exercise, which includes UAT preparation such as test scenarios, test plans, and test cases. Manage UAT exercises and perform pre-UAT QC cycles
  • Support impact option analysis for Sponsor/Management decisions on issues, risks, dependencies, and change requests, among other things.

Capacity as a Senior Advisor:

  • Understands the primary requirements of the Small Group employer buyer group
  • Knows the features, options, and design of the Cigna+Oscar product and related technology services.
  • Understands Cigna+Oscar product and service client and customer interactions.
  • Develops, plans, and manages priorities, initiatives, and a multiyear business perspective with Cigna and Oscar project leadership.
  • Directly collaborates with internal and external teams (Oscar, ESI) to translate buyer group strategy into product/solution strategy and solution requirements.
  • Collaborates with internal and external delivery teams to translate product/solution strategy into customer needs.
  • Synthesizes product and service “gaps” for solution development and required investments
  • Identify and lead additional key initiatives that will necessitate complex problem solving and collaboration across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Manage the product actively to meet agreed-upon performance metrics – both within Cigna, ESI, and Oscar.
  • Be able to problem-solve independently and identify workable operational and technical solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accelerates the transition from the segment’s “launch mode” activities/mindset to the required “manage mode” activities/mindset for the Cigna+Oscar products that are now available in the market.

Requirements:

Requirements for the Position:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience preferred.
  • 6 years of hands-on project management experience, preferably in the insurance/financial industry
  • Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing abilities
  • Excellent analytic, problem-solving, planning, and implementation abilities
  • Relationship management experience with both new and existing partners
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in order to meet project deadlines are required.
  • Ability to self-motivate, collaborate in teams, and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Dealing with Ambiguity, Cross-Cultural Agility, Perseverance, Motivating Others, Strategic Agility, Presentation Skills are all core competencies.

If you will be working from home on a regular or permanent basis, you must obtain an internet connection from a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload speeds.

We anticipate offering an annual salary of 99,200 – 165,300 USD / yearly for this position, depending on relevant factors such as experience and geographic location.

This position is also expected to be eligible for an annual bonus plan.
