Financial Planning and Analysis is in charge of company-wide budgeting, quarterly and annual earnings and cash flow forecasting, long-term planning, segment/business unit operating performance monitoring and assessment, assessing the financial impact of key business decisions and alternatives, and various special projects aimed at improving the company’s financial performance. The group is also tasked with creating financial performance presentations for Marvel and The Walt Disney Company’s senior management.

Marvel Finance and Accounting is looking for a financial intern to help with financial and strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with forecasting and Long Range Planning
  • Assist with valuation analyses and forecast model development.
  • Assist with monthly performance updates analysis, financial modeling (new creations and improvements), historical financial data maintenance, and valuation.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Aid in the analysis of our Marvel Unlimited subscription platform.

Requirements:

Fundamental Qualifications:

Applications are encouraged from students of all majors and backgrounds. Experience in narrative-based media is preferred, and editorial experience is desirable. A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Other internships, degrees earned, work experience, related clubs and organizations, current major course of study, expected graduation date, and extracurricular activities must be included on the resume.
  • A personal introduction and days/times available during the internship period must be included in the cover letter.
  • Preferred Standing at the Junior or Senior levels
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.

Education Requirements

  • By the arrival date, you must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
  • Junior or Senior Undergraduate Program student status is preferred by arrival date.

The hourly rate for this internship in New York is $15.

Eligibility for Internships:

  • Prior to participating in the internship program, you must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and take at least one class during the semester/quarter (spring/fall).
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • No more than one year of continuous employment on a Disney internship or program is permitted.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Throughout the session, all candidates must be able to maintain a consistent and reliable work schedule.

Program Schedule:

  • All candidates must be available between January 2023 and June 2023.
  • All candidates must be available to work a minimum of 21-29 hours per week during business hours, Monday through Friday (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor)
  • Throughout the session, all students must provide a consistent and dependable work schedule.

Working Conditions: This internship is done remotely. A working, reliable internet connection, as well as a quiet, dedicated work space, are required for the internship.
