There is a casual dress code for this REMOTE, work from home (WFH) position. Be able to create a workspace that conforms with the following standards if you work from home:
a. You must be able to provide a workplace, which must be isolated from everyone else, including other Amazon Pharmacy colleagues, and must be situated in a different part of the house (not a busy one).
b. You must have internet, phone, and electrical connectivity at all times that you are scheduled to work, as determined by Amazon Pharmacy on a regular basis.
c. A dependable broadband internet connection is needed, either through DSL, cable, or fiber-to-the-home (FiOS or Fiber Optic), with a minimum contracted speed of 10 Mbps for download and 5 Mbps for upload.
d. Easily accessible for examination to verify compliance
a. Remote employment is not intended to take the place of proper child or senior care. Also, working from home is not intended to be a replacement for taking personal days, vacation, or sick time. When an employee needs time off for personal or child care obligations, they must coordinate with their direct manager and use PTO, any appropriate paid or unpaid time off, or request clearance for a schedule change, if one is possible.
f. The workplace needs to be in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.
Further limitations might be in place.
To be taken into consideration, you must have a valid technician license granted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide quality customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and neighborhood pharmacies.
- Collect, organize, and evaluate patient information. Receive prescriptions sent electronically from doctors’ offices.
- Receive written prescription or refill requests.
- Establish and maintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by specific patients.
- Work a flexible schedule; shifts may include days, nights, and weekends.
- Analyze and confirm all dates of service, billed amounts, and client data for completeness and accuracy.
- Research missing and incomplete information resulting in billing errors and denials.
- Address insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues as necessary by speaking with insurance providers, patients, and pharmacists.
Requirements:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Active and unrestricted in-state Board of Pharmacy license. Physical residency in New Hampshire or Massachusetts required by the date of hire. Willingness to become Nationally Certified within a year of starting work. Amazon Pharmacy reimbursement assistance. (Read job description – work area must be remote, private, and secure, and internet must have a speed of at least 10 mbps.)
FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) (some positions available require this certification before hire date) Experience recognizing and identifying patient medications Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote or work from home setting Strong organization skills and attention to detail Six months or more of experience using computer and web-based tools Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
