To develop and oversee the regulatory change management process, the Pharmacy Compliance team at Amazon is looking for a Regulatory Change Management PM. The Regulatory Change Management PM will have the chance to create a fundamental part of the compliance team from scratch as the single threaded owner. The Amazon Pharmacy will rely on this individual to keep abreast of pertinent laws, comprehend how they apply to the Amazon Pharmacy, and hold teams accountable for making the necessary adjustments. A person who is successful in this position will be self-motivated and enthusiastic about creating this function from scratch. Additionally, this person should be able to work successfully with both internal and external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies (e.g., pharmacy operations and business teams). To explain the new requirements, they must be able to communicate well, and they must also be eager to learn how the present business environment works. This person will collaborate closely with the tech and product teams to develop safeguards that will support the pharmacy operating system. In order to produce outcomes, this person must be imaginative and able to think critically. You should have a strong sense of self-motivation, a keen interest in the pharmaceutical industry, and the capacity for both autonomous and teamwork. You will be required to continuously raise the standard for compliance and operational excellence as a member of this team as we quickly expand, develop, and innovate in order to make Amazon Pharmacy the most customer-focused pharmacy on Earth.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and interactions with regulatory authorities are used to keep track of pertinent changes at pharmacy regulatory agencies.
  • To communicate regulatory changes to the business, have a complete understanding of its meaning, purpose, timeliness, and subtleties.
  • Work together with the commercial and legal departments at Amazon Pharmacy to evaluate regulatory changes and their effects.
  • Work together with business teams, such as those in product and technology, to develop an implementation strategy that complies with new laws.
  • Follow the implementation process to make sure that projects are finished on schedule and that the final result complies with regulatory standards.
  • From beginning to end, track the regulatory change management procedure.
  • Report on regulatory changes and Amazon Pharmacy’s response to internal leadership
  • Occasionally, you can be invited to go to a meeting of a regulatory body.
  • Analyze current business processes, spot gaps, and suggest workflows to close them or satisfy business requirements for regulatory or compliance

What a day looks like

  • To find new regulation changes, examine meeting minutes, notes, online resources, emails, and other materials.
  • To be communicated with the appropriate internal stakeholders, draft extensive written explanations of regulatory changes.
  • Work together with legal to assess new regulations and laws and detail their effects on Amazon Pharmacy.
  • Meet with the company to discuss current procedures and to explain how the impact of regulatory change will be communicated to the present business model.
  • Help the company create a plan to adhere to new requirements.
  • The business team’s plan to comply with the regulations is being tracked and updated to reflect the implementation status.
  • Inform leadership levels of your efforts so they may understand how the business requirements are changing along with the regulatory environment.
  • While assisting in the creation and upkeep of the pharmacy operating system, product and tech should be consulted regarding the numerous regulations that apply to the industry.

Requirements:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Pharmacy Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School or Work Experience in Regulatory or Compliance at a Pharmacy Organization
  • Good standing pharmacy license 3+ years’ experience in pharmacy operations, regulatory management, or compliance
  • Understanding of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships a track record of organization and the capacity to balance various, conflicting priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous documentation procedures
  • Possibility of traveling up to 30%

FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • A doctorate or a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from a pharmacy school with accreditation
  • Operational experience in pharmacies
  • Loss mitigation expertise
  • Thorough knowledge of the laws governing the pharmacy sector, particularly those pertaining to controlled substances
  • Experience with data analytics and decision-making based on data
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking

Our pay is in line with the cost of labor in different US regions. In our lowest geographic region, the basic salary for this position is $96,900 per year, whereas in our top geographic location, it is $185,000. Pay is based on a number of variables, including market location, and may change in accordance with knowledge, abilities, and experience pertinent to the position.
