In this role, data is gathered and analysis is done in order to design or assess UPS’s marketing and communications strategy. The incumbent seeks advice from internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to determine the most effective method for gathering data and resolving business problems. In order to create communication and promotion plans, this function utilizes marketing research, keeps up with current trends, and collaborates directly with partners. This position gathers data for analysis and decision-making using internal reporting tools and secondary data sources. This position distributes analytical results to important stakeholders within the organization by summarizing them.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates execution plans with the help of stakeholders during the planning phase that are in line with the overall campaign strategy (e.g., timing, messaging, creative focus, etc.)
  • Creates subject-matter expertise for analysis of information from internal and external sources to offer information for decision-making
  • Identifies the major trends in each market and product to assess their effects on UPS, partners, clients, competitors, and the industry.
  • To assure support for strategy, tactics, techniques, and a shared vision, collaborates with multiple levels of management across the company (such as Customer Relationship Management [CRM] and Marketing).
  • To get agreement, support, and permission, prepare presentations on strategy, communications plan, budgets, and other topics and give them to senior management, stakeholders, marketing, communications, etc.
  • Ensures efficacy, brand compliance, best practices, and return on investment by keeping an eye on the campaign development process and trending.
  • Keeps up with media industry trends to make sure UPS’s advertising plans incorporate the newest innovations
  • Pens new material to aid commercial endeavors
  • The CMS is used to make changes to current information to support business initiatives.
  • Obtains input from sponsors (such as the product manager, the rates and forecasting group, the marketing group, etc.) to verify the accuracy of the content.
  • Creates measurements to gauge the success of marketing initiatives and monitors region/product performance
  • Cross-functionally presents findings to key stakeholders and looks for ways to connect pertinent activities

Requirements:

  • Possesses exceptional communication abilities
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel in Microsoft Office
  • A master’s degree in marketing or a closely connected discipline, or an equivalent overseas degree
  • International Travel
