Position Description:

To support the Pricing function, we are looking for a highly collaborative, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to join the Financial Planning & Strategy team. This position will strongly emphasize working with our Sales team to design and support the completion of high-quality agreements in terms of price governance and profitability as an advisor to our Sales team on pricing, goods, procedures, and policies. Margin analysis, creating unique terms and contract structures, and making pricing suggestions based on client data and insights are all examples of deal advice. For Checkr’s Deal Desk, this person will serve as a finance approver, support executive decision-making for our largest and most important clients and prospects, and serve as a liaison between internal parties such as Sales, Revenue Operations, Pricing Strategy, Finance, Accounting, and Legal.

Responsibilities:

• analyze contract conditions with sales partners, provide advice on ongoing talks, and make original suggestions to improve business results.
• Manage permissions for non-standard terms and conditions, as well as approve discounts and promotions.
• For the purpose of guiding future pricing implementation and strategy, gather information, keep an eye on pricing trends, conduct pricing audits, and evaluate the effects of pricing adjustments.
• Help the sales team be in the best possible position to close agreements by setting competitive pricing throughout Checkr’s portfolio of products in accordance with the pricing strategy.
• Ad-hoc strategic support should be provided, including financial modeling, performance assessment, and study of comparative pricing.
• Be a resourceful problem-solver who discovers solutions to satisfy the requirements of the Sales team while abiding by corporate controls, procedures, and policies.

Your belongings:

• Required: 2-3 years of deal desk, pricing, revenue operations, or financial expertise.
• undergraduate degree (Accounting, Economics, or Finance preferred)
• knowledge of modeling with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
• BI and analytical tool experience, preferably with Looker or Tableau; additional experience with SQL
• Experience with Salesforce is preferred, and knowledge with CPQ and/or quotation systems is a bonus.
• Strong commercial and business sense, with expertise in financial analysis and problem-solving, while proactively addressing complex and varied business problems
• Influencing at various management levels requires both analytical and communication abilities as well as experience.
• Experience with usage-based pricing and prior employment with a software, SaaS, or IT organization are plusses.
