Position Description

ACE, a membership organization dedicated to shaping effective public policy and developing high-quality practices in undergraduate education, is looking for a Director of People Team to lead the human resources department. As a Senior Level Manager at ACE, the Director of People Team will have a wide range of responsibilities, including talent management, policy implementation, organizational development, and business partnership with stakeholders and department leaders.

Responsibilities

– Oversee human resources functions, including talent management and the entire employee lifecycle, transforming policies into effective implementation.
– Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, minimizing HR-related risks while managing and mitigating employee relations issues.
– Manage change programs and projects, fostering the desired culture and behaviors among teams.
– Develop individual professional capabilities and enhance them through formal development frameworks to foster a culture of excellence.
– Use HR data and analytics to identify trends and areas of improvement and leverage HRIS, ATS, and various software programs to enhance HR operations.
– Collaborate with executives and employees, creating a positive and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
– 10 to 15 years of HR experience with managerial and technical expertise, including HRIS, ATS, and survey software, SharePoint, MS Forms, and Microsoft Office 365.
– Experience with change management, managing diverse teams, conducting investigations, formulating HR policies, and complying with labor laws.
– Preferred but not required: Master’s degree, certified diversity recruiter, and experience in higher education or association environment.
