Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and defines system scope and objectives under general guidance.
  • Develops or adapts methods to address difficult issues while taking into account the capabilities and constraints of the computer hardware, the operating period, and the intended output structure.
  • Creates thorough technical specifications that programmers can work from.
  • These programs are designed, coded, tested, debugged, and documented.
  • Capable of working at the greatest level possible on all applications, systems analysis, and programming tasks.
  • Regularly gives novice programmers and analysts direction and training.
  • Independently develops cost-effective application and program solutions and may guide others in doing so.
  • Translates business needs into technical specifications under the direction of or as the primary technical contributor.
  • Leads or participates in the technical design of new applications or improvements, including the integration of solutions that have been purchased.
  • Performs independently and helps other team members with continuing system upkeep, investigation, problem-solving, and on-call support duties for existing systems.
  • Completely understands and complies with the recommended methodologies, ensuring compliance for the work of all aligned resources.
  • Supervises or conducts unit testing.
  • According to specific test plans, one may execute or assist with integration and system testing to assure high-quality systems.
  • User Acceptance Testing assistance from business partners is possible.
  • Supports the integration of purchased solutions into production while operating with no guidance.
  • Accountable for an application’s or a group of applications’ Code Asset Management.
  • Encourages and supports asset reuse within the enterprise.
  • For initiatives and/or service requests affecting a particular application or group of applications, the subject matter expert may take the lead or serve in that capacity.
  • Serves as a team leader to oversee technical activities and to assist both small and large, extremely complex projects that call for enhanced technical expertise across a variety of contexts and disciplines, have an impact on the entire system, and integrate across the business.
  • Receives some guidance and direction in terms of setting priorities for the task, but is capable of working independently and giving direction and control to the given team.

Pay Scale

The usual pay scale for this position is as follows:

  • Least: 70,000
  • The most: 140,000

Please remember that this range represents the salary range for every position in the job grade that this position belongs to. The location is just one of several variables that will be considered when determining the actual compensation offer.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of six years’ experience in the creation of application programs, or an equal mix of education and work experience.
  • 6+ years of systems analysis and application software development experience, or a comparable background in both education and employment.
  • Experience using software packages for application development

Recommended Requirements

  • Expertise relevant to development organizations in one or more programming languages, development tools, databases, and the systems development life cycle.
  • Recognize the interfaces and business needs that are pertinent to the apps supporting a sub-domain or domain.

Education

Computer science bachelor’s degree, or an equal combination of training and experience
