The synchronous and asynchronous learning curriculum’s synchronous and asynchronous components will be brought to life by the instructional design specialist. Within the Human Resources division, this person plays a crucial role on the team for the CVS Health Enterprise, Learning, Development and Performance Center of Excellence (ELD&P).
The ideal applicant is focused on the learner, extremely creative, and skilled at using adult learning techniques to provide non-digital learning solutions. In order to design and construct a non-digital solution that is monitored and adjusted for performance throughout the learner’s lifecycle, the instructional designer collaborates closely with the learning program owner to determine learning objectives, project scope, and budget. They have a growth attitude, are unconventional thinkers, and enjoy working in an agile atmosphere. This person actively looks for novel educational approaches that will provide colleagues working in CVS Health’s PBM Customer Care with an interesting, quantifiable, and useful learning experience.
Responsibilities:
- Defines, plans, and aligns on instructor-led (virtual or in-person) design elements as outlined in SOW in collaboration with ELD & P Workforce and/or Learning Program Owners.
- Provides advice on the development of synchronous (event-based) alternatives and modalities to provide the most effective and economical learning strategy in relation to the SOW.
- Uses a variety of experiences and activity approaches to create and construct complex, performance-focused non-digital solutions utilizing the most recent formal instructional design methodology.
- Creates visually appealing and engaging visual components for each solution, such as infographics, print templates, and digital templates.
- uses the Learning Management System and production tools to track project plan and program data in order to drive solution implementation.
- Creates training sessions for trainers in cooperation with the owners of learning programs
- Organizes the training program, including overseeing the project budget (if necessary), the project schedule, and consulting with business and ELD&P partners as necessary to make that the project’s objectives and quality requirements are reached.
- Manages several, relationally challenging, and/or high-profile initiatives simultaneously for implementation across the company or in a specific business.
- Carries out quality checks to verify that programs adhere to the highest standards of quality and design, and that digital solutions are compatible with the technological infrastructure of the intended consumers.
- Works in collaboration with outside vendors as necessary to create cutting-edge, technologically based digital solutions

- Having experience creating L3 and L4 successful program evaluation methodologies
- Ability to construct data stories linked to L3 and L4 evaluation and to summarize Key Performance Data
- Strong grasp of priorities, potential tradeoffs, and execution factors related to the business landscape Comfortable working and cooperating in a remote work environment Capable of breaking down complex procedures into scalable and consumable portions for learners working in a remote setting

The usual pay scale for this position is as follows:
- At least 43,700
- Up to 100,000
Please remember that this range represents the salary range for every position in the job grade that this position belongs to. The location is just one of several variables that will be considered when determining the actual compensation offer.
Requirements:
Required credentials
- 3+ years’ worth of experience working in the field of instructional design
- 3+ years’ worth of experience applying and using instructional design tactics as a subject matter expert
- 1+ year of experience in developing for a distance learning setting and in storyline or articulate
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in instructional design or a closely connected subject and at least one year of relevant experience
Education: 3+ years of work experience in the field of instructional design, or an equivalent degree in a design-related subject.
