Join our team at Twitch as a Data Scientist, Analytics member of the Data Platform – Insights team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing data analysis and support for platform, service, and operational engineering teams, influencing how we measure success. You will be responsible for defining critical questions, scaling analytics methods and tools, and contributing to the overall vision for business analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Platforms & Services teams to enhance decision-making through data analysis.
• Foster data knowledge and insights by facilitating communication with partners and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain a customer-centric focus while becoming a domain and product expert through data.
• Tackle complex problems and adapt tools to provide insights.
• Create analytical frameworks to measure team success, establish success metrics, and track data to develop a common language for colleagues.
• Operationalize data processes to provide ad-hoc analysis, automated dashboards, and self-service reporting tools.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a consumer internet business or high-growth product or team environment
• Expertise in SQL and proficiency in Python/R
• Experience leveraging data to drive business insights and results
• Strong data analysis and communication skills, including time series analysis, experimentation, data visualization, and KPI strategy development
• Strong team player with relationship-building skills
• Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Passion for online communities, gaming, and Twitch
• Experience in Operational Excellence, including metric definition and analytics reporting
• Familiarity with software development and operational event data
• Knowledge of machine learning methods such as logistic regression, decision trees, and neural networks
