Responsibilities:
Being a hands-on team leader will require you to have exceptional communication skills, be able to quickly gather requirements and information from stakeholders, define key research questions, find pertinent data, adopt or propose novel machine learning solutions, conduct thorough experiments, publish results, and collaborate with the engineering team to implement these solutions. In your role as a strategic leader, you will engage with senior leadership on a regular basis, find investment opportunities, create long-term plans, and set, prioritize, and accomplish targets. In addition, you will take part in leadership development, hiring, mentoring, and organizational planning. You will have a passion for creating scalable scientific and engineering solutions and be technically brave. In the full-cycle development process, which includes conception, design, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance, you will play a crucial role as a scientific resource.
Requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or a similar quantitative discipline
- Over seven years of experience in the business developing effective production software systems
- Expertise and hands-on expertise in machine learning, statistics, recommendation systems, and forecasting, among other fields.
- Proven ability to solve problems and create algorithms, including those related to data profiling, clustering, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling techniques
- Capacity to blend the inventiveness and diligence needed to investigate the most difficult problems with the ability to build new prototypes.
DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS
- Work experience in e-commerce, fashion, seasonal goods, or a similar industry
- A PhD in a quantitative subject relating to mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or another
- At least ten years of experience in the consumer electronics, automotive, or aerospace industries using data science.
- Notable contributions to peer-reviewed science in the fields of recommendation systems, analytics, data science, statistics, and other related fields.
- A great deal of expertise using theoretical models in practical settings
- Expertise in using AWS services like Sagemaker, Glue, Athena, and S3.
- Solid foundations in complexity analysis, algorithm design, and problem solving
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Perl, Python, or comparable) and multiple major programming languages (C++, Java, or similar)
- Exhibited leadership in the industry in the domains of big data processing, data sciences, database and/or data warehousing.
