Responsibilities:
- Perform limited maintenance tasks such as filter changes, HVAC PMs, rack power installs, rack PDU, and rack ATS replacements.
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical, mechanical, emergency generator, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
- Offer assistance to technicians working on data center operations
- Analyze equipment failures’ underlying causes
- Verify that all safety precautions are followed when working
- Put in a 12-hour shift, working either days or nights in shifts of three or four days.
- Compile daily operating readings (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.) for all mechanical and electrical equipment by performing routine rounds and log taking.
- Manage building operations and spare component inventory with an internal CMMS.
- Oversee contractors that carry out preventive maintenance or service.
- Attend to after-hours emergencies in accordance with the on-call schedule for any location in the region.
- Completely abide by all physical security guidelines and protocols
- Promote innovation while cutting facility operating expenses
- Work with tiny cables and items
- Complete the following duties, either with or without a fair concession:
- Stroll on uneven ground on job sites
- Operate in harsh environments
- Utilize ladders and work at heights
- Lift and/or move up to 39 pounds on a regular basis; take part in group lifts involving 40 pounds or more.
- While working, bend or twist the body into strange positions.
- Maneuver or tow bulky items into place
- Perform tasks in noisy settings

Requirements:
ESSENTIAL EQUALITIES
- One or more years of experience in mission-critical facilities (such as hospitals, military installations, public safety institutions, etc.) or in electrical or mechanical work, or in data centers
- A high school diploma or its equivalent
DESIDERED SPECIFICATIONS
- Experience designing data centers for at least two years
