In our Asia-Pacific Latin-America (APLA) Data & Analytics team, we are looking for an experienced Lead Data Analyst to lead and conduct full life cycle analysis, produce technical requirements that will help build data products, and provide insightful information for the business to enable ongoing improvements. Outstanding communication skills, demonstrated data design and execution skills, a keen business sense, and a highly developed passion to deliver outcomes are all qualities that the perfect applicant will possess. The candidate for this position will be technically adept and have a strong track record of working with engineers, analysts, and business partners. WHAT Projects Do You Have?
- Understanding business requirements requires working with business partners.
- Convert business needs into technical specifications for the engineers.
- Data mapping for creating the data products from source to target
- Put information into comprehensible structures by organizing and transforming it.
- Incorporate data sources, security, and metadata into the management and design of the reporting environment.
- Create data models and test them to make sure they meet consumption requirements.
- Determine, examine, and decipher trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Compare data processing outcomes, reports, and performance metrics against targets to find potential coding errors.
- To extract information from data sets and find connections and trends, use data mining.
- Find and describe potential for new process improvements.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH TO MONITOR DATA QUALITY AND REMOVE CORRUPTED DATA?
- The Enterprise Data & Analytics Organization of APLA is responsible for this position. In APLA as well as Global Technology, you will collaborate with other data engineers, architects, DevOps engineers, and different business partners. You will work as a member of an engineering team alongside engineers, a scrum master, a product owner/manager, and managers of analytics.
- You will be contributing regularly to the delivery of analysis/requirement artifacts within this team or squad using a collaborative and multi-functional approach. Nike’s catchphrase is “Win as a Team.” You will achieve success in all interactions if you operate as a team, have a good attitude, and put in the effort.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING?
- Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a similar technical topic at the bachelor’s or master’s level, or a comparable combination of training and experience
- 7+ years of experience working as a senior data analyst or business data analyst with evidence of success
- having knowledge of SQL and a scripting language like Python or R
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to gather, arrange, organize, and communicate a sizable amount of information with accuracy and attention to detail
- adequate familiarity with Hadoop and big data processing frameworks
- working knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or DOMO
- Strong data modeling knowledge Working knowledge of source control tools like GitHub
- Preferable: Working knowledge of AWS environments, including Databricks, EMR, S3, Redshift, Athena, etc.
- knowledge of RDBMSs like Teradata and Snowflake, as well as data warehouses
- Ability to handle, curate, and clean data, as well as visualize and communicate stories about analytical outcomes
- Presentations provide for lucid communication and narrative
- Self-starter, well organized, and results-oriented; and should be able to work with little guidance. Proven experience and ability to provide outcomes on many projects in a fast-paced agile setting.
