Responsibilities:
As a Customer Service Agent, your responsibilities include:
- Providing friendly and positive service to both internal and external customers.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues to ensure the success of our company.
- Offering legendary customer service to individuals using our travel, cargo, or baggage services, addressing their needs.
- Operating a computerized point-of-sale system for ticketing, check-in, boarding, reservations, and problem resolution.
- Greeting and assisting customers in a courteous manner and handling various forms of payment.
- Handling baggage, cargo, and resolving customer complaints and issues.
- Providing information, answering inquiries, and offering flight details to customers and airport visitors.
- Completing required forms and reports as per company standards.
- Writing irregularity and complaint reports when necessary.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to type and use a computer keyboard efficiently.
- Capacity to read documents, follow instructions, and understand ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, including dealing with the public and handling stressful situations.
- Capability to complete Customer Service Agent training program with an 80% or greater average and an evaluation period.
- Awareness of hazardous situations and ability to handle emergencies.
- Ability to work under tight time constraints, especially during aircraft turnarounds.
- Must meet uniform and grooming standards per company guidelines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate information and instructions via telephone, face to face, and public address systems.
Education and Experience:
- No specific education or experience requirements.
Licensing/Certification:
- Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet all local airport requirements.
- May be required by Station Leadership to obtain a Customs Seal and meet all requirements for international flight work.
Physical Abilities:
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 70 pounds regularly and handle weights of 40 to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Must maintain the ability to wear prescribed uniforms.
Other Qualifications:
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per company standards.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must adhere to company attendance standards.
- Ability to work shift work and/or overtime.
- Foreign language skills are desirable but not required.
