As a Customer Service Representative, your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service by prioritizing the needs of our members, providers, physicians, and hospitals. You will play a crucial role in building trust through courteous and empathetic interactions, resolving issues, and providing information with a deep understanding of our plans, products, procedures, and systems. Your performance directly impacts customer satisfaction and retention, as well as the public perception of Aetna.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize customers and put their needs first in every interaction.
  • Build trust through courteous, empathetic, and professional service.
  • Utilize knowledge of plans, products, procedures, and systems to provide information and resolve issues.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and retention through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Manage multiple tasks in a high-volume transaction-based environment.
  • Project a positive image of Aetna over the telephone.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a production environment.
  • Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment (e.g., call center or retail), demonstrating empathy and compassion.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy towards customers’ needs and concerns.
  • Strong computer navigation and typing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the health insurance industry (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • At least one year of experience in a call center setting.
