It is your job as a Content Safety Moderation Specialist to check posts for rules that the community has set up. You will be responsible for reviewing highly graphic TikTok content and enforcing any policies that may be in place regarding this type of content. In order to safeguard the platform and ensure the safety of users, you will be responsible for resolving delicate, intricate situations that directly affect them. Having a thorough grasp of abuse tendencies that are unique to US cultural norms and sensitivities is essential for this function, as is the ability to think creatively about remedies. You care deeply about issues related to quality control, privacy, internet safety, intellectual property, and moderating (enforcing policies). Working out of Nashville, Tennessee, this role will be a full-time commitment.

To put it simply, this position entails checking user-generated information for compliance with community norms by reading, watching, listening to, and analyzing it. The term “content” encompasses a wide range of media types, from photos and videos to text and audio, and can cover anything from everyday life to more extreme topics including bullying, hate speech, sexual assault, torture, bestiality, self-harm, suicide, and murder.

There is a risk that our Content Moderators may encounter inappropriate material every day due to the nature of their work, which involves reviewing material in rapid succession during each shift. Currently, our business uses a hybrid work schedule that mandates employees to be in the office three days a week, or as directed by their manager or department. This is done, among other things, to improve cooperation and cross-functional partnerships. Specific standards are subject to change and are reviewed on a regular basis along with our hybrid work approach.

Function:

• Acquire knowledge about TikTok’s rules and regulations pertaining to a wide range of subject matters and content kinds.
• Ensure legal compliance and safety of material by consistently applying regulations and standards to massive amounts of TikTok content.
• In order to keep our online communities safe, we need your help creating, refining, and enforcing security rules.

Needed Skills

• Able to grasp complicated ideas (like the Community Guidelines) rapidly; meticulous learner with excellent attention to detail.
• Expected to be in the office three days a week, though that schedule is flexible.
• Alright with and cognizant of the fact that this position necessitates examining online content that may be considered objectionable and/or contain explicit contents.
