Position Description:

You are a versatile and cooperative team player with excellent time management abilities who can handle several tasks at once. You’re organized and deadline-driven, and you’re willing to pitch in and finish any pending editorial work. You’re an excellent communicator who is comfortable working remotely with a group across different time zones. Finally, you are aware of some aspects of Jewish tradition and culture and are anxious to discover more about it as well as the special requirements of mixed families and couples.

Essential Functions

  • Become a crucial utility part of the team working on digital strategy, contributing to the production and dissemination of material as well as supporting the team with ongoing work and new projects.
  • Lead project management activities include keeping track of and managing team members’ obligations for both routine chores and unique projects.
  • Work with writers, edit content, and distribute it across social media and email marketing channels as part of 18Doors’ editorial calendar and production process.
  • Use SEO best practices to assist in creating new content and upgrading current material.
  • Submit story suggestions and, if possible, fresh articles for our website.
  • Create and modify our organization-wide digital newsletters and marketing emails in conjunction with the digital strategy team.
  • perhaps contribute to innovative 18Doors projects like making videos, developing podcasts, and creating other social media assets

Experience and credentials

  • two to five years of professional experience, ideally in the field of editorial or content
  • Bachelor’s degree is necessary. Preferably with an English, journalism, marketing, or related focus
  • becoming familiar with SEO and creating content with it in mind
  • outstanding editing, writing, and communication abilities
  • Experience creating emails using any type of email marketing software is required, such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, Autopilot, etc.
  • experience creating and carrying out tasks for different collaborative projects, as well as experience leading project management
  • Dedicated to meeting deadlines and effective at managing many projects with both long- and short-term deadlines
  • familiarity with Jewish tradition and religion
  • experience working alone and remotely on projects
  • WordPress knowledge and experience is a bonus for article creation
  • Canva and Asana use knowledge are advantages
  • Experience managing communities and social media is a plus
  • Understanding of the demands of Jewish interfaith families and couples is a bonus.
