Responsibilities:

The chosen applicant will work with the Last Mile Claims team, supporting and reporting to a Risk Manager, with an emphasis on claims management with the potential for adjudication, process improvement, and third-party programs. The following duties are possible, but are not restricted to:

  • Claims management for both litigated and unlitigated auto physical damage and property damage claims.
  • Work with business units to put measures in place that will limit complex, expensive claims and keep costs in check.
  • Closely collaborate with insurance carrier and third-party administrator (TPA) partners to promote cost containment, simplicity, and continual improvement.
  • Work together with internal and external teams to achieve common program objectives.
  • Create deft solutions that will significantly affect regular claim processing.
  • Effectively inform internal leadership teams and cross-functional teams about proposed risk reduction techniques.
  • Make use of subject matter expertise to thoroughly examine claim procedures, pose provocative questions, and create deft answers that will have an effect on program metrics.
  • Assist internal audits to verify quality and compliance with client service guidelines and performance standards.
  • Create and/or revise standard operating procedures in collaboration with vendors to ensure they support program objectives.
  • Make data-driven judgments for process evaluations and recommendations by utilizing and developing metrics.
  • Collaborate with other teams to share ideas, drive change, and complete projects.

Essential job duties

  • Management of high-value property damage and auto physical damage claims.
  • Work with business units to put measures in place that will limit complex, expensive claims and keep costs in check.
  • Closely collaborate with insurance carrier and third-party administrator (TPA) partners to promote cost containment, simplicity, and continual improvement.
  • Establish protocols for handling auto physical damage claims by working with internal and external teams.
  • Make data-driven judgments for process evaluations and recommendations by utilizing and developing metrics.
  • Collaborate with other teams to share ideas, drive change, and complete projects.

Candidates may be hired to work from any of the following locations: USA virtual location

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Having a thorough understanding of the claims process from inception to resolution; having adjudicated auto physical damage and property damage claims for more than five years; having led claims teams for more than three years. A current license as a property and casualty adjuster

FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of total loss and subrogation procedures • Experience with fleet or commercial auto claims • ARM, AIC, CPCU, or a comparable designation
