During our call center hours, call center representatives will work an average of 40 hours each week:

  • Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday 8 am to 6 pm
  • Fri. 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Rotating)

Responsibilities:

For our Troy team, we’re looking for a call center representative. This applicant will be accountable for:

  • 60 to 70 incoming and outgoing calls for questions about banking.
  • This role essentially functions as a telephone banker, helping members with queries about account maintenance and sales-related issues.
  • Speaks with members to learn more and explain the financial services that are offered. Successfully listens for cues, checks account information, and makes suggestions for products and services based on the nature and extent of members’ needs.
  • Offers standard information on MSGCU services or policies, such as membership eligibility, account kinds, insurance programs, loan policies, interest rates, current dividend rates, wire transfers, location information, office hours, and promotion of virtual service channels.
  • Carries out a variety of member service and teller tasks, such as processing savings, draft/checking, and certificate (CD) account transfers accurately; helping to set up MSGCU’s automated services; handling address changes, check orders, and reorders; providing loan quotes, calculations, and rates; and creating loan applications, entering application data with accompanying notes and making loan payments.
  • Enters loan application data and determines whether loans satisfy the requirements for prompt processing. Prepares and processes loan requests accurately. establishes the closing date and gives instructions on the documents that must be submitted in order for the closing to be completed. Examines applications and calls regarding open loans.
  • Assists customers in setting up and completing paperwork for automated services including direct deposit, payroll deduction, automated teller machines (ATM), and voice response. Ordering Debit/Credit Cards, PINs, audio access response PINs, and Online Banking are all made easier.
  • Mails applications for certificate of deposit accounts, IRAs, and related paperwork. Handles IRA and CD transaction deposits and/or distributions of money to members’ accounts.
  • Responds to every mail in accordance with established policies, rules, and productivity and performance benchmarks.

The experience listed below in a hectic customer service setting:

  • Requires five years of call center experience in a banking or branch environment
  • excellent writing and verbal communication abilities
  • The capacity to multitask while talking on the phone and using numerous screens
  • The capability of passing a credit check
  • High school graduation

Ideally Having:

  • Experience with or knowledge of CRM software systems
  • teller or banker experience
  • Experience with credit unions
