Position Description:
The Business Development Manager – Enterprise Solutions (BDM) will leverage the channel resources of several American Express internal resources, such as Client Management and Business Travel/Card Sales, to improve pipeline and increase selling opportunities. The Senior Manager, Global Business Development & Strategy will be in charge of new opportunities as well. The candidate will have a strong regional and worldwide network, as well as exceptional sales skills.
The BDM is projected to succeed in the following areas:
- Find, manage, and guide GCG/MN prospects through the selling lifecycle in the local market.
- Evaluate client needs and create a client-specific value proposition and price.
- Deliver a tailored value proposition to client executive-level personnel as well as different stakeholders.
- Showcase technological solutions for meeting and event management.
- Complete lucrative sales.
- Drive and protect new client quality-certified installations
- In CRM systems, manage prospect relationship data.
- Actively contribute to the creation of value propositions through benchmarking and best practice exchange.

- Ability to grow internal and external relationships by giving insight and guidance to boost the value and profitability of meetings and event solutions Consultative communication abilities, including presentation, sales, and negotiation in a business-to-business context
- Excellent financial knowledge
- Good teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Very good Meetings & Events industry expertise and network Very good understanding of Strategic Meetings Management solutions
- Experience in Global Business Development for at least 10 years is strongly preferred.
