In order to drive and achieve company-defined distribution channel sales goals and objectives, the candidate will recruit, train, and develop sales personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for inspiring and directing a group of broker managers to meet predetermined health plan broker sales targets within the designated book of business.
  • Cultivates connections with regional brokers and firms that are contracted directly with Aetna and our National Distribution Partners to provide adequate market coverage for health plan objectives.
  • Develops market strategies that are in line with CVS Health/Aetna goals and communicates them in order to achieve profitable growth.
  • Sets defined goals for the specified book of business for each Broker Manager, and tracks success against those goals.
  • Recruits, teaches, and inspires the personnel of the broker manager.
  • Coaches staff members in sales technique, prospecting, and hiring new brokers. Ensures that brokers are Ready to Sell and recertified.
  • To best highlight Aetna’s capabilities, the company keeps an eye on market competition and industry news.

Pay Scale

The usual pay scale for this position is as follows: Minimum: 60,400 Up to: 124,100

Please remember that this range represents the salary range for every position in the job grade that this position belongs to. The location is just one of several variables that will be considered when determining the actual compensation offer.

Requirements:

Required credentials

  • 3+ years’ experience in Medicare sales and broker development
  • Tools and resources with a proven track record of training Medicare product brokers
  • technology know-how for managing leads and sales presentations CMR tools
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • powerful presenting and communication abilities
  • able to travel when necessary

Preferred Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of two years of direct experience working as a broker manager for a different carrier in the Medicare sector.
  • Strong familiarity with medical groups and contracting in Southern California
