Position Description:

As a member of the Content Team, the Translation Project Manager will be responsible for the organization and translation of all aspects of the Wellframe experience that interact with members. This includes app strings, marketing emails, legal policies, care programs, and additional instructional content.

The Translation Project Manager will manage relationships with external translation vendors, send and receive translation packages in our content management system and Trados, and oversee the timely completion of all translation projects. While this position resides within the Content department and reports to the Communications and Translation Manager, the Translation Project Manager is expected to collaborate and support other departments on a regular basis to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience for all Wellframe members, regardless of language preference.

Responsibilities:

  • Importation/exportation of translation projects from the internal content management system and Trados
  • Administration of vendor relations (project assignment and scheduling, invoicing, communication)
  • Creation and upkeep of translation memories and terminology databases
  • Establish additional vendor relationships as required to support existing and new languages.
  • Perform a non-semantic review of translated content to guarantee correct formatting and functionality.

Education, Experience, and Competence Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Translation Project Management, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field, or relevant work experience, is required.
  • More than four years of experience managing translation/localization projects.
  • Ability to create and manage translation projects using CAT tools, specifically Trados Studio.
  • Knowledge of component content management systems and DITA best practices.
  • Additional language skills, particularly Spanish or Haitian Creole, are a plus.
