Position Description:

Using incoming and outgoing calls with a focus on customer service, schedule patients with doctors. gives operational assistance for the provision of patient care in a call-center scenario. accountable for setting up appointments, promptly and professionally answering phones, and gathering and entering insurance information.

What the team will gain from you:

• uses the phone to speak politely and professionally with patients.
• When necessary, transfers incoming callers to the proper department or area.
• registration of new patients (inputting demographic information, insurance information, etc.).
• First-time patient assistance with appointment booking and management of reschedule lists
• updates the computer’s database of recommending doctors.
• works with an EHR and an online scheduling system.
• Verifies patient information and insurance to make sure it is current so that billing is accurate.

Minimum requirements:

• graduated from high school or equivalent
• prior experience providing client service
• proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.

Preferred credentials:

• Experience working in a medical office or phone center
• Preferable prior call center experience
• Multilingual in Spanish
