We are looking for a high-calibre, tried-and-true Specialist Solutions Architect to begin work on a project with strategic significance and high exposure. You will define scalable processes and frameworks that will be used by multiple cross-functional teams in this role. In a fast-paced, ambiguous, and innovative environment, you will apply both business and technical acumen. Our ideal teammate is naturally curious, has strong analytical skills, and is eager to pioneer on behalf of customers.

Responsibilities:

Our Specialist Solutions Architects are highly experienced technologists with a broad breadth and depth of experience in Solutions Design, as well as strong interpersonal skills. As a Specialist Solutions Architect, you will collaborate directly with some of our most important customers to enable innovation through continuous deployment across technology stacks and to demonstrate best practices for advanced software solutions.

You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and other Amazon teams to assist our customers in creating highly scalable, flexible, and resilient architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate service adoption. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Retail solutions and have prior experience leading deep architecture discussions. They must be self-motivated individuals with a proven ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges, as well as a passion for educating, training, and designing software solutions for enterprise customers.

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in application or infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting
• 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• A minimum of 7 years of enterprise IT application experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on software development, solution architecture, and DevOps engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of retail experience is required.
• Strong strategic aptitude, experience developing short and long-term strategies in a consulting firm Demonstrated experience working with C-level/Senior leadership at medium or large enterprises
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering/MIS, math, or a related field is required, or equivalent experience.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to scope technical requirements and prioritize AWS certification, Developer or Architect, are required.

In Colorado, the salary range for this position is $280k – $380k/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Depending on the position offered, a sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
