Position Description:

Administrative support is provided to all sections of the Tax Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle administrative responsibilities for the Tax Department, such as proofreading all returns for accuracy.
  • Help with the copying and filing of all tax returns with the proper tax authorities.
  • Help in the upkeep of state and federal Powers of Attorney (POA).
  • Help with tracking, reporting, and completion of Same Day Backdating (SDBD).
  • Deliver departmental emails to the appropriate point of contact.
  • Mail should be sorted and distributed.
  • Help with tracking, reporting, and completion of term folders.
  • Fill out the Agency Notification Tracking System with tax difficulties (ANTS).
  • Help in the prompt research, tracking, and resolution of tax issues.
  • Fill out EFT/ACH authorisation forms.
  • Keep client account numbers in the Paycom system.
  • Take charge of establishing and maintaining good communication and coordination with Paycom personnel and management.
  • As needed, assist other Paycom associates.
  • Notify management of any serious customer complaints and area activity.
  • Show initiative by looking for and recommending methods to improve Paycom operations and/or customer service on a regular basis.
  • Meetings must be attended and participated in as needed.
  • Have a good attitude with all Paycom employees and management.
  • Follow all Paycom policies, including those specified in the Paycom Employee Handbook.
  • Take responsibility for aiding Paycom management with specific projects such as quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Ready to work extra hours as needed to meet or exceed all filing and payment deadlines.
  • Execute projects correctly.
  • Execute projects on schedule as specified by Paycom management.
  • When needed, assist teammates and Paycom management.
  • Attendance is essential on a regular basis.

Qualifications\sEducation/Certification:

  • High school diploma or similar

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 year of experience in administration, accounting, payroll, data entry, or a related field
  • Attention to Detail
  • Very well organized
  • Ability to use computer applications, printers, copiers, fax machines, and telephones in a cooperative and effective manner
  • Capability to conduct study and address problems effectively
