Responsibilities:
As a vital member of a small RFIC team, you will work to research, design, and put sophisticated CMOS technology nodes’ high-volume manufacturing of the next generation of wireless technologies.
Within the Keck Medical Center (KMC), which has more than 5000 workers, the Senior Labor & Employee Relations Representative will concentrate on the labor and employee relations duties for a few select departments. By collaborating with management to develop negotiation proposals and strategies to meet KMC’s needs and objectives, this position will conduct labor and employee relations activities alongside the human resources manager of KMC, including administration and partnership during the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements. This job will coordinate and lead grievance discussions and hearings. To promote harmonious Labor and Employee Relations, this job will establish and maintain ties with management, staff, and unions.
The Senior Labor & Employee Relations Representative must be able to assess, direct, and resolve all situations involving people in an objective manner, as well as successfully communicate with all levels of employees. Additionally, this job acts as the point of contact for any HR-related concerns and will collaborate with the HR Centers of Excellence to swiftly resolve the problems. In a variety of areas, including employee performance difficulties, employee misconduct, and the issuance of remedial action, this position will advise and counsel department management. Directors, managers, and front-line employees are just a few of the different clients that this job will help to lead, train, coach, and assist.
Requirements:
- Must Have: Bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in business-related discipline or human resource management.
- An advanced degree is preferred.
- Three to five years of expertise in labor or employee relations are required.
- Prior work in the healthcare sector is preferred.****
- Strong written and vocal communication abilities.
- The ability to write communications, case studies, investigative reports, and settlement agreements that are succinct, clear, pertinent, and persuasive.
- Proficient in relevant computer programs and Microsoft Office.
- Outstanding planning, presentation, critical/analytical thinking, and creative thinking abilities.
- Conducting employee investigations and working with unions are essential.
- Understanding of employment legislation, such as the FLSA, CFRA, Reasonable Accommodation, VAWA, CANRA, HIPAA, HEERA, and requirements from the EEOC, DFEH, and DOJ.
- Expertise in conducting investigations into claims of sexual harassment and hostile working conditions
