Position Description:
To be successful, a Cyber Security Architect must have a thorough understanding of technology infrastructures such as firewalls, VPN, data loss prevention, IDS/IPS, web-proxy, WAF, anti-DDoS, and security audits. Outstanding applicants will be at ease dealing with a wide range of technologies, large-scale deployments, security issues, and network troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, administering, monitoring, and improving security procedures for company data, systems, and networks.
- Determine and establish the system security requirements.
- Create thorough cyber security designs and computer security architecture.
- Standard operating procedures and protocols should be developed and documented.
- Security infrastructure devices must be configured and troubleshooted.
- Provide technical solutions and new security technologies to assist in mitigating security vulnerabilities and automating repetitive processes.
- Handling network and security issues
- Reacting to all occurrences involving system and/or network security
- Enabling the proper security procedures to secure the organization’s data and infrastructure
- Engaging in the process of change management
- Identifying and testing network and system vulnerabilities
- Administrative activities on a daily basis, reporting, and communication with important parties
- Provide complete reports that include assessment-based findings, outcomes, and recommendations for future system security enhancements.
- Working in a varied, engaging, supportive, and courteous team environment with similarly tasked Engineers and Analysts.
Necessary abilities:
- 5+ years of experience working as a Cyber Security Architect Understanding of risk assessment tools, systems, and techniques
- Designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures is a plus.
- Direct expertise with security technology implementations such as WAF, DAM, IPS/IDS, Anti-DDoS, Bot Detection, SIEM, Data Leakage Prevention, Proxy, Automation & Orchestration, and so on.
- Planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures experience
- Competence in communicating network security issues to peers and management
- Technical expertise in database and operating system security
- Working knowledge of network security and networking technology, as well as system, security, and network monitoring tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of the most recent security principles, methodologies, and procedures
- Keeping up to date on technological capabilities and trends
- Problem-solving abilities and the ability to function under duress
- Knowledge of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) concept as well as well-known ports and services
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, cyber security, or a related discipline, or comparable work experience, is required.
- Industry credentials in cyber security, including but not limited to PCNSE, CISSP, GSEC, CSSP, and CEH, are highly sought for.
