A role
We are searching for an assistant to help an agent in our music touring department with administrative tasks. The ideal applicant will be driven, enthusiastic about the concert booking industry, quick on their feet, and receptive to working in a setting where they can do administrative duties in a hurried setting.
Responsibilities:
- Directly assist with administrative tasks such as booking trips, managing phone logs, heavy calendar upkeep, and expense report preparation.
- Provide resources and support in advance to anticipate agents’ requirements and assure their success.
- Handle incoming offers, send out contracts for review and execution, gather up-to-date information on ticket counts and spreadsheets, clear radiuses, and get venue avails and holds; revise travel plans; settle performances in the CAA system
- Operate as a point of contact for customers, agents, executives, and other contacts in the industry
- Other as needed projects and activities
- Keep up a working understanding of the music business and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Preferably, a BA or BS from an authorized university or college.
- At least one year of experience working as an executive’s assistant in a busy workplace.
- A minimum of one year’s worth of professional experience in the music business.
- Booking prior artists is a plus but not necessary.
- Though not necessary, agency experience is a plus.
- Ability to plan ahead and handle time-sensitive tasks in a busy workplace.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask.
- Meeting deadlines and working well under duress.
- Strong verbal and written organizational and communication abilities.
- Strong focus on the details.
- Strong interpersonal skills in a work setting while also being aware of the need of protecting confidentiality.
- Must focus on finding answers.
- Knowledge about computers (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel).
Compensation
The starting hourly rate for this job is between $20.00 and 22.00. Benefits and a bonus are also available for this employment. In the end, salaries may differ depending on a variety of factors, including but not restricted to relevant experience, time spent in a position, company industry, and geographic location.
