Position Description:

As the operations manager, you will also seek out opportunities for operational improvement and develop policies and procedures to boost departmental efficiency. In order to successfully implement the necessary change in support of bettering the overall Project Management and Delivery process flows, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Coalfire Federal management teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Control the operational project management group for Coalfire Federal (3-6 team members)
  • serve as a point of contact for clients who require leadership involvement on issues or as a resource for project managers seeking advice and direction.
  • Give the Project Management team responsibility for a project.
  • Have weekly one-on-one conferences with direct reports.
  • Work closely with project managers to plan engagements and offer support as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Working with senior leadership as necessary, address identified risks, assist in their mitigation, and provide support for issues management.
  • To support process modifications and enhancements, create and maintain program documentation as needed.
  • oversee the overall coordination of the project, including planning, scheduling, hours, work assignment, and, when required for resolution, dealing with escalated concerns.
  • Promote cross-functional, regional, and company-wide communication to ensure the success of a project from start to finish.
  • to obtain project progress on all ongoing and upcoming programs, chair a weekly project management meeting.
  • As required, assist project managers in the drafting of project plans, project charters, and rules of engagement (ROE) documentation for penetration testing.
  • Review the ROE and project deliverables for quality.
  • Collect the relevant documentation for suitability and clearance in cooperation with the facility security officer as needed.
  • Manage the activities and resources for cross-company engagements (between Coalfire Federal and Coalfire Systems)
  • helping our divisions of Compliance, Assessment and Certification, and Penetration Testing with internal initiatives to promote overall program improvements

The items you’ll bring

  • Experience in project management for eight to ten years
  • managing a team of three to six persons
  • familiarity with resource management
  • Proven experience working independently and cross-functionally to achieve deadlines Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced, multifaceted workplace
  • knowledge of dispute resolution (customer service)
  • excellent planning and communication abilities and encounters leading meetings with clients
  • Excellent writing and editing abilities
  • a track record of producing high-quality reports and presentations
  • The PMP credential
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, project management, management information systems, information technology, or a closely related discipline
