Customers will look to you to help them deliver our best-in-class network by supporting our wireline operations. And when they have questions or problems, you’ll be there to help with exceptional technical support and customer service. Wireline Operations Control Centers (OCC) support Retail, Wholesale, and Enterprise business customers with provisioning, maintenance, and dispatching. We support all product levels, from FiOS to Next Gen Technology. You will be a leader in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment as a member of the OCC team. You’ll be in charge of a team of union-represented employees who help with day-to-day center and field operations.

Responsibilities:

• Direct reports are trained, coached, and counseled by observing employee quality and safety performance.
• Managing, evaluating, and meeting team performance and business metrics with employees.
• Conducting employee performance appraisals and effectively communicating feedback.
• Managing mandatory compliance, safety, system, and general process changes trainings.
• Supporting network service installation, maintenance, and construction.
• Evaluating data trends and determining the root cause of problems in order to develop solutions to customer service or network issues.
• Keeping and safeguarding administrative records for tracking employee attendance, work records, completed trainings, and other critical metrics.
• Resolving workplace grievances and issues in order to maintain and improve a positive working environment.
• Travel within the work geography is required.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience are required.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience is required.
• Extensive experience supervising and leading cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel for up to 25% of the time.
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule (shifts) on weekends, holidays, after hours, and on call as needed by the business.

It’s even better if you have at least one of the following:

• A diploma.
• Experience in the telecommunications or technology industries is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Outside plant network architecture, including copper and fiber optics, is required.
• Excellent computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, etc.).
• Knowledge of virtual collaboration tools (i.e. Zoom, Blue Jeans, Slack, MS teams, etc.).

If you are hired in New York, the salary range for this position is between $64,000 and $119,000 per year on a full-time basis. Your salary will be determined by your location as well as your confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential for increased earnings. Your pay will be adjusted to reflect your hours for part-time positions.
