You will be in charge of endpoint administration for Abarca’s systems, network, telephony, and service desk operations as a desktop engineer. You will be integrated with endpoint ecosystems, security standards, automation, and contemporary technology tools while providing outstanding user experiences through cutting-edge technological solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, and manage an endpoint vision for our MacOS and Windows 10/11 devices.
  • To configure and deploy Windows devices, develop and use Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) technologies like ConnectWise, Intune, Jamf, Autopilot, and Azure AD.
  • Promote a tilt to the left in thinking and Find ways to automate tasks to improve the user experience by streamlining procedures.
  • Utilize security best practices and controls, such as group policy, NIST, and encryption, to guarantee endpoint compliance in both Windows and Mac OS settings.
  • Simplify the procedures for imaging, deployment, forensic backups, drive sanitation, and endpoint provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • Using scripting and automation, oversee software installations, package distribution, updates for third-party applications, and compliance.
  • Assist with third-level requests, initiatives, and hardware and software incidents.
  • Create and manage dashboards, KPIs, and important metrics to show continuous process improvement, endpoint compliance, and health.
  • Collaborate with important parties to comprehend obstacles in order to apply efficient technologies and solutions.
  • Keep up with the latest developments in next-generation hardware and software as well as desktop engineering technology trends to guarantee that we provide solutions that minimize risk and promote quality and stability.
  • Keep up with the documentation of our technical support ecosystem’s standards and rules.
  • Improve the technical support team’s skills through courses and training.

Requirements:

The audacious demands

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, technology, computer engineering, or a related subject (Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
  • Three or more years of experience working in infrastructure technology operations as a desktop engineer or in a similar capacity.
  • Familiarity with automating processes and streamlining the endpoint administration process with PowerShell, Bash, or Python programming.
  • Familiarity with Agile and ITIL concepts.
  • Outstanding communication skills both in writing and speaking.
  • Take part in the rotating on-call schedule to offer vital systems round-the-clock support. Willingness to work erratic or rotating shifts as needed for company or operations, especially on weekends and on some holidays.

Good to haves

  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, and Azure Administrator are pertinent, though not exclusive.
