Responsibilities:
To deliver data-intensive, strategic appraisals of goods and address portfolio-specific business queries, American Express Company is looking for directors, data science. Create and manage executive dashboards and centralized reporting to assist corporate leaders. In order to ensure agreement on definitions and metrics, support the setup of the infrastructure for centralized repositories, table views, and data definitions. Analyze data to find business opportunities and offer suggestions. Before making presentations to top leaders, verify the integrity and completeness of the data. Examine and interpret test results for products. Manage a team that is spread out geographically and guide reports through the analytics lifecycle.
Requirements:
A master’s degree in finance, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, business administration, operations research, engineering, computer science, or a closely related discipline is required for the position, along with three years of relevant experience. At a minimum, experience must include: Experience with each of the following for one year utilizing big data tools like Hadoop, Hive, Python, R, SAS, Scala, Spark, and SQL; analytical and problem-solving abilities to break complex problems down into components and solve them using quantitative analysis; data visualization, KPIs, and scorecards; experimental test design; communicating complex technical projects to non-technical, senior-level audiences; and credit card industry and charge card economics. It is possible to work remotely up to three days per week.
